electricity out in 22nd Aug. 00:00 to 05:00

well, the notification stated to be 00:00 - 04:00, 4 hours. but in the end it took longer than that, 5 hours in fact.

the beginning 2 hours for me is, kinda fun. because such scene of no lights around the town except the moon's, somehow looks significant to me. the first few minutes after electric out, i was walking around trying to look on how people are going to react to this 'event'. at first i thought people might have something fun like lighting up candles, set up a table outside the house, chit-chat or play cards on the table. but it turn out that everyone is rushing to leave the place when the electric is out.

should i say as expected of city-people? if anyone was having the same experience i had in my childhood, they would rather do a lot of things to enjoy the light out, like the few i had stated. well yes, it is chinese's July. so of course people afraid and all, but if they really afraid of such things then they won't be even trying to 'run away' from this town even if they had to ride a bicycle to far away. well of course i didn't follow them so i can't judge whether or not they really ride to bike to leave the town, but at least they doesn't seems to enjoy the light out.

truth is, this 'event' is a little bit disappointed because the sky is filled with scattered clouds, at the same time the moonlight is too bright. so bright that i can see my shadow clearly like it was dawn. so stargazing is definitely out of question. what's left for me to do, is not 'playing' with candles nor playing cards, because there's no one to do it with me. so i bring along Maon (my violin) to a place where almost no one would pass by, and practice for 2 hours long.

at the beginning of the practice, it is just like always, i play a lot of ugly noises. as time pass, the sound is more refined and gets better. but the strange thing is, all of the sudden a certain tone fails everything i play it. i keep on trying the music over and over again, but only that single tone runs wild, but it works fine when i play the tone alone without the overall music. then this is when i get a weird feeling that something was around me. that instant, i felt scare in a long while, but quickly turn calm and observe the surrounding. though i hold a little fear, but i still hope i can see 'it' if 'it' really exist. looking around every short moment after the tone runs wild, i gave up repeating the same thing, and also the fear was somehow buildup because of the tone making weird sound.

i pack things up and walk back home. to my surprise, the area is much darker than i first saw it. maybe because when i first saw it there were many cars going in and out and make the area fill quite bright, even when there's no street lights were on. on the way home, i realize i'm still a human. because both places are dark, without light and anyone around, i felt rather relieve and more calming than in that place where i felt 'something'. maybe it simply because that place has no human at all, while this place has no human on the outside, but there's a lot in the houses.

after that, i bath using a villager's method of bathing. just imagine how to properly bath with cold water without water heater. good thing the weather wasn't cold, but it is also bad because that makes it a bit too hot to sleep. so i had no choice but to listen to some music and do some for-fun-programming with my NetBook until the electric is back. but well, along the way i stop listening to music because i think i had a few noises at the back but saw nothing when i turn back.

this is rather a nice experience of sensing 'something'. though it is also possible that i create my own imagination.

perseid meteor shower (13th August 2010)

its midnight, i took a few breads and a hot milo to keep myself warm because hrs ago there was raining, so outside is damn cold now.

today is 13th Aug midnight. i went out to a dark area in hope to look at the meteor shower (named perseid). i was very excited at first because i mistaken currently was 12th mid night, but well its my biological hour that made me mess up with the time n date.
the reason to be excited is because 12th is the peak of Perseid meteor rain, from the internet i found the max it could go is 60 meteors per hour. but too bad its 13th now, so there're less meteors.

how less? i had no idea, but based on my experience alone, 2 hours, assume when the haze raise for a short moment there were no meteor, i had seen a total of 4 meteors(or just call it shooting stars). the first one is roughly 12.30-12.45am, it was a rather 'short-tailed' shooting stars that is quite bright, yet disappear in less than a second. i got slightly lucky after that, so the 2nd shooting stars flies shortly after the first one. for that instant i mistaken the 'rain' is going to start n get all hype up. but sadly it isn't, or at least the meteors didnt scratch through earth's atmosphere so overall in 2 hrs, i only saw 4 meteors.

when i said the first shooting star is quite bright, it means i saw an ever brighter one later. it was the last one i saw (the 4th shooting star). the 3rd one is less bright but flies slightly longer, while the 4th one is bright n last longer than others as well, probably a second full or even more. it is also kinda huge because the meteor's "tail" is visible as a bright light, and even leave an after-image for a split second.

since i already took 2 hrs, and there is no holiday for me at all, so i conclude my meteor shower watching and go back home. there was very little meteors to be seen, but the last one is truly an unforgettable one, so could say i'm satisfied. but i sworn to myself at the same time, next year's Perseid i'm going to view it until dawn. (fyi, Perseid meteor rain occurs once a year. almost everytime August being its peak)

Kampar pasar!

i slept at 6am. but wake up around 8.30am just simply to go to old town's pasar.
nothing serious, just that i rarely get the chance to go there, while i missed the food there.
also i need to re-supply my cooking ingredient (just fishball and some tofu though).
reach there by taking a ride from Tomato. once get the car parked, we walk into the pasar area where there's a hell lot of raw ingredient being sold.

'ew..' the first thing came to my mind. the smell of seafood, animal blood and meats. but well this is one of the 'essence' of pasar. it rather make me felt "ah.... i'm in a pasar" just like when i was a kid. so yes, it is a rather nostalgia feeling though this is not my hometown's pasar.
the next thing, smell of vegetables and soils lol. another 'essence' of pasar. though i didn't need any fruit or vegetables, i just happen to pass by when looking for 'fish' areas. umm, yes, fish. we (me n tomato) saw a lot of fishes still alive and moving/jumping. looks so funny and reminds me of Sven. and it somehow seems amuse to look at the fish getting slaughter >=)
just kidding, i can't stand blood really much actually. that's why i never try to cook anything that requires me to cut/slaughter meat.

after buying the ingredient i want. we go to the next 'area' for breakfast. there's a street in between these 2 'areas', and this street also has stall selling various stuffs, more in prepared foods than raw. looking at those foods i can't help but to wanted to eat them all. its nothing special on the food, just that it is been a long time since i last eat any of them (stuffs like tofu fa, yao zha guai, etc). but well, in the end i decided to go into that the other 'area' for breakfast first.
inside there i ate 'lo mai fan' aka glutinous rice for english, then 'chao gui diao' , and drink a cup of ipoh white coffee. it is simple yet luxurious (for me).
after eating those, we get out and buy some more food from the street we previously passed by, and 'yao zha guai' + 'tofu fa' was bought, to be eaten later on.

foods are nice. umm.....

violin - ま温

i got my first violin and its beginner lesson on Tuesday(27th Jul).
i was so darn excited that after the class finished (8pm), i was still there inside the class and continue to practice until over 9pm. mayb others are not as excited as i am, or mayb it is me being the one who're over-excited, after 8pm, there was no one else in the room, which means i practice alone inside there for over 1 hour.

the night school is kinda nice. quiet and somehow horrific. but i find it to my liking. due to going home late, i actually found a good place for stargazing. it is somewhere inside the campus, near the lake. that area was unexpectedly dark and perfect for stargazing (as well as for crime to happen). but well, though i found a good place, if the night doesn't have a clear sky then everything is pointless.

anyway, holding my violin case(with my violin inside), walking in the night street where there's almost no one/motor/car around, it makes me feel like the whole street is mine. i felt rather comfortable than scare even though it is too quiet.

when i reach home, after rushing over in bathing and taking my dinner. i came to realize that i act almost like 'Hirasawa Yui': i give my instrument a name, and also stop my assignment in between to play my instrument. i almost wanted to hug it like a plushie when going to sleep. =.=
good thing i was able to hold myself back else my assignment won't proceed at all.

oh, erm... i named my violin ま温. it is pronounce as 'Ma-on', which the first time i see this name is from the singer called "kurosaki Maon" who sing the Ending Theme for 'Highschool of the Dead'. her name 'Maon' is written as 真音 though. i purpose like put my violin as ま温 simply because i found Maon's "ma" can be different word while having the same pronunciation. in a way the name could become "魔怨" or "真温", which has complete opposite meaning. these 2 words fits the reason why i wanted to play violin:
- to turn the always-heart-healing-voice of violin into fierce and furious voice >=D

well, what i mean by that is, by outlook and common people's view, Violin is a 'kind' & 'soft' instrument, and i liked to do things the opposite way one would normally think, so i wanted to play the violin with more intense and furious musics, like 'toccata and fugue' for example, to show that everything has two sides.

with that purpose, probably other instrument like piano is also possible, i don't disagree, it is just simply piano is not portable therefore i go for violin. Viola is also a choice, but i came to like high pitch voice of violin over viola's. so overall these are my reasons for wanted to learn violin.

oh yea, here's a picture of ま温, the quality is bad because the only camera i have is the NetBook's webcam.

black sky day, white sky night

in Kampar, or probably places close to this town, has this weird and kinda of depressing weather.

there's possibly 3 bad weather on day time:
last year it was like every afternoon there's always a chance of short rain(ones that start raining for few mins then stop), which cause the heat and humidity raise awfully, making the day unbearable unless stay in home.
then there're times the rain is much longer, probably too long that it last for almost 12 hrs. making us have to wet ourselves in order to get out for dinner/lunch. getting completely untouch by rain drops is hardly possible since the rain is quite heavy.
and the last one, probably not so bad, it's just dark clouds everywhere at the sky but the rain won't start any time sooner, sometimes even after the day had ended also no rain. in these kinda of day the temperature will be less hot. to better the situation, the rain only falls at afternoon until evening, making the whole afternoon not hot while leaving the chilly effect until evening, then decrease the night's temperature as well.

on night time, since its night already, most people won't bother how much rain there is, but not me. because my room's only window is above the roof's height(mine is mid room), therefore when rain heavier, rain drops splashed from outside to inside my room. have to wake up just to use a long stick to close the window. but then if the windows are closed on day time, it will cause my room to be too hot. so its like midnight i gotta get it close, then day time gotta get it open. kinda troublesome.

though i'm explaining how Kampar's weather is like, but my main point of this post is more on the rare scene of the sky, which i think only places like Kampar allow us to see these scene more often.
The Black sky Day: day time full of dark clouds while no rain at all.
The White sky Night: night time where moon light shines brightly and revealing all the white cloud on the sky.

another twisted fact of this world

*the following is completely my opinion with no discrimination nor intended offense*

i had seen a girl who are manlier than a real man.
i had seen a girl who's size is like a man.
i had seen a girl who looked like a man.
but the other round i havent seen any, not with my own eyes.
but they exist, take a look at these 2 video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlkYWuutRSg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJA4Wy6s9fc&NR=1
the first video's guy, not just look, even the voice is like a girl's.
the second video is slight better, the voice is not too alike of a girl's, but look prettier.

a man looked like woman, a woman looked like man.
they're like borned to be single, homo, or sex change.
can't say they're poor, but either can say they're lucky.
it is just a twisted fact of this world.

i respect these people as a human if they have good personality,
but what i'm concern is just simply that
"the world i once know is no longer what i currently know now"

おれの記憶、おれの思い - I

i always think i don't left much good memories when i was in secondary, but today after talking to one of my hometown friend, i recall something.

a short, everyday routine after school. my mom would always come to fetch me, with the old benz (which my dad bought it for around 5k or sort. pretty rusty and air-con broken). before using this car, we already fetch the other 2 friend of mine almost every day, but after using this car, we fetch even more people.

i last recall was 8 people at max. two girls in front (1 same year as me, 1 is my fren's lil sister), my mom on the driver seat, and 5 guys stuck-sandwich at the back. and these kind of days happened every single afternoon after school. yes, afternoon, freaky hot weather most of the time, air-con broken, the windows partially broken(front seat's cannot scroll down properly, back seat's cant' be scroll at all), so its exactly like a sandwich squeeze in lots of ingredient inside and put in the oven.

lets list down the people who sometimes, or everyday would had my mom fetch them.
-Khean Weng (aka Mango or Weng)
-Keng Leong (aka ah liang)
-Wan ting (no nickname from me, but some ppl called her 'oil' cuz she's chubby)
-yin shyen (salt fish! or just salty)
-Boon Kang (aka Katzhat, cockcroach, lipas)
-Li Min (katzhat's sister therefore Katzhat mui. but i simply call her siu muimui)
-my mom
-me.
so 8 people the record was.
not that great though, since last year's CNY, another fren of the same secondary school who's rich, also has his benz(but new and better one), squeeze in around 11 people. all guys.

hmm..... i guess that's all.
this is my first memory jot-down.
an 思い that i will not want myself to forgot.
